But I'm not complaining. Jimmy Stewart secured his place in the history of great Christmas flicks with this one back in 1946 and I don't think there could have been a Christmas without this one since, or at least not a Christmas filled with quality, black-and-white, warm and fuzzy goodness. It's one of those movies you just can't help but watch every year no matter how many times it's on, very much like A Christmas Story. Now this one may not take you back quite as much as the nostalgic Ralphie's calm and reflective narrations, but it'll sure make you think about stuff you probably wouldn't think about otherwise. Deep stuff. Like how every single person out there makes such a tremendous impact on so many different peoples' lives. Yes, even that crazy guy from KFC. Without him, I wouldn't have had half of my post back on November 30th, and without my post, you wouldn't have had anything else to do with those extra few minutes of your life...except maybe something more important (oops). Anyway, I haven't met a single person who can sit through this film and not come away feeling inspired or at the very least, a little more appreciative of life. 8:00 PM EST on NBC. Watch it, cry, and then waste a few hours playing iSketch and I promise to pay you back the minutes I just stole from your life. At some point. Maybe.
